first press release

Crafting in the context of environment and economic concerns, Cut +
Paste takes traditions of craft and re-use and pastes them into the
here and now.

The recently opened Red Rattler theatre will play host to a three
day craftacular with cutting edge markets, workshops and performance
amongst organic fair trade treats and Devonshire teas. This weekend
festival will showcase some of the most talented local artists,
designers and craftspeople making sustainably.

Visit the Makers Market to pick up some of the best local, fair,
sustainable and handmade goods on offer. Take part in one of the
many workshops, including fresh flower corsage making; book
binding; vegan no bake treat demo; children’s workshops and a ‘craft
my bike’ workshop that gives you the skills to turn your eco-ride
into the most glamorous in town!

The festival will close with a wonderful early Spring evening for the
senses featuring fresh organic food, short films and fabulous performance
translating the tactile to the stage.

Cut + Paste will be launched on Friday night with a special
presentation by guests from WEFT (Women for Education, Freedom and
Textiles) a non-profit organisation supporting refugee women on the
Thai-Burma border and displaced women in Burma to earn a fair living
wage from their handmade and traditionally woven textiles.

I would be interested in bringing prints of my illustration and comic book thingies if there is any spots. If there is you can contact me at steven.nuttall@hotmail.com and there is some examples of my stuff at www.automatonpictures.com if your interested (not much of it is actualy print stuff but it gives you an idea if it would fit :))
